πŸŽ₯ Adobe Previews Generative AI Tools for Video Editing Workflows (BIg for Marketing Professionals and Creatives)

Adobe has announced the upcoming integration of new generative AI technologies into Premiere Pro, its professional video editing software. These new features, scheduled for release later this year, are aimed at streamlining workflows and providing innovative tools to enhance creative output.

The generative AI tools include Generative Extend, which seamlessly adds frames to clips, making them longer and more flexible; Object Addition & Removal, which simplifies the process of manipulating video content; and the Text-to-Video feature, allowing editors to generate entirely new footage within Premiere Pro using text prompts or reference images.

(The text-to-video edition is a pretty bid deal as it will be Adobe’s response to OpenAI’s Sora.)

Adobe is also exploring the integration of third-party generative AI models from leading providers such as OpenAI, Runway, and Pika Labs to offer users a comprehensive and versatile editing experience. These collaborations could enable professional video editors to generate B-roll footage and add extra seconds to shots effortlessly.

In addition to the forthcoming generative AI video tools, Adobe has announced the general availability of AI-powered audio workflows in Premiere Pro, set to launch in May. These features include interactive fade handles, Essential Sound badges for automatic audio categorization, effect badges for streamlined effect management, and redesigned waveforms for improved readability.

Key Takeaways:

  • Adobe is integrating generative AI tools into Premiere Pro, including Generative Extend, Object Addition & Removal, and Text-to-Video.

  • The company is exploring collaborations with third-party AI providers to offer a comprehensive editing experience.

  • AI-powered audio workflows, set to launch in May, will streamline audio editing and provide precise control over sound quality.
