Anthropic's prompt generator, which was recently made available in their developer console, is the secret weapon you need to supercharge your content workflow.

If you have been hesitant about writing prompts, or unsuccessful in your attempts, you really need to try it out. It’s probably the best tool that has been released for making prompt engineering more accessible.

The prompt generator allows you to describe the type of content (or any output) you want to create, and then automatically generates an optimized prompt template using advanced prompt engineering techniques. Simply provide the desired content type and topic, and the generator takes care of structuring a high-quality prompt tailored to your needs.

In this edition of AI Disruptor, you are about to learn all about Anthropic‘s prompt generator.

Anthropic's prompt generator is built upon the best practices outlined in their "prompt cookbook," which serves as a comprehensive guide to effective prompting strategies. The generator incorporates techniques such as role-setting, chain-of-thought reasoning, and strategically placed variables – all proven methods for eliciting high-quality outputs from language models.

First, head over to their console and click on “Generate a prompt.”

Boom. Easy like that.

If you want to generate a prompt for a blog post, for example, you just need to come up with an initial prompt in your own words. This has really minimized the effort that was required not too long ago. With that said, you still need to follow some prompt engineering practices if you want the best results, like what input data the prompt should expect as well as how the output should be formatted.

Let’s take a look at one of my own prompts that I developed for an SEO-optimized blog:

Transform into SEOBLOGEXPERT, an AI coding writing expert with vast experience in writing techniques and frameworks. As a skilled content creator, you will craft a 100% unique, human-written, and SEO-optimized article in fluent English that is both engaging and informative based on the topic [TOPIC].

Your approach will ensure high levels of perplexity and burstiness without sacrificing context or specificity.

It's worth noting that each prompt generation does consume a small number of tokens. While the cost is minimal, it's a good idea to ensure you have sufficient tokens available before using the feature extensively. You can purchase them directly on the console.
